Trumped by a Kidney Transplant!

Imagine that! No seriously though, the clinic in HFX called yesterday to cancel my Thursday appt.  because of an emergency Kidney transplant. Dianne was very apologetic but I told her I have been fat all of my life so two more weeks won't make much difference. The biggest surprise about the conversation is that I was booked for surgery on Sept 14th. They were giving me my date on Thursday when I went in for my appt. I was so shocked that I was speechless. That would have given me one week for liquids and then BAM! in the OR I go. Oh well, everything happens for a reason so off I go on the 14th of Sept and hope for a surgery date  that won't be too long in the future.  Just a little update for you all.

Wow, it's great that he's booking so fast. It gives you less time to be nervous and worried. You'll get in before you know it and join us here on the losers bench. Think good thoughts :)

I guess a kidney transplant DOES trump wls -but I always feel that everything happens for a reason. And your surgery day will be here before you know it! Good Luck!
