I went to Canadian Tire last night and when I started through the "turnstyle" (not sure if that is what it is called)  I had the same old feeling, "How embarrassing it would be to get stuck in that thing!  I walked through without a hitch of any kind.  Almost turned around and to go back through - just because I could.  YeeHaw!

I(sn't it amazing how you notice the small things when you are able to do them. It's truly wonderous when you consider most of the population never even give that  fear/idea  a moment's thought but when you are morbidly obese those and a milion other thougts go through you head everyday. Others don't even ponder it.

Congrats on your nsv. There must be so many by now. I'll bet everyday there is something new you can do now that you couldn't do 5 months ago. You go girl

Congrats!

I hate these things! It’s so sad that most obese people can’t go to Canadian Tire because of them. Someone I know boycotts Canadian Tire because she can’t fit in them. People don’t think of obese people when they invent such things and truly, what’s the purpose?

I absolutely agree AND captain chairs in restaurants.....what is that all about! Ignorance I say...sheer ignorance. If everyone would make their thoughts know, and we all stick together, maybe some changes would take place. I must mention this to my local Cdn Tire manager. Our local steakhouse changed some of their chairs after it was mentioned that the captain chairs were inappropriate for us vuloptuous women.
Congrats on all your NSV's. They are so important and should be celebrated.

It's the hundreds of little things that average sized people take for granted that make us so happy we decided to have WLS. And only we can appreciate it the same. Congrats!
