1st consult

Hi to all
When you go for your all day session is there a group of people there or are you by yourself (1 on 1 ) Have any of you seen others that you have met on here at appointments? By reading all of your posts it seems like you all know each other so well?
Everyone on here seems to have had there first consult October, November. Is there any of you that are still waiting for your 1st  consult, if so when was your referral?

Up to now Dr S has had one on one but I think he was going to have group info sessions like Dr B eventually. If the all day session is the pre-op blood work etc, then it is one on one.

My friend's referal was sent last November/ early December and she has not heard anything yet.

I have not had my first consult yet with Dr Savoie and my referral was received January 2nd at his office.  I am hoping soon to hear something or at least for the new year.  I am patiently waiting.

My first appt was August 2006
-info session Feb 2007 - a group of 5 of us - some wanting RNY, some the band
(at this session I met and have kept in touch with a good friend of mine - KC) - I have never seen any of  the other group participants since
-another appt August 2007(consent signing)
-1 week pre-op appt April 2008
-surgery April 14, 2008

At my 2 week post-op appt - I met another friend who  had RNY the day after me - and we also have kept in touch.

PS Dr. B. usually requires a 3 week pr-op visit - but due to the distance involve - he let me skip this one. Thankk goodness!
