DS & Dr.Savoie

Just wondering if anyone wanting to have the DS done, has seen or heard from Dr.Savoie.

I thought that he would of started the ds by now for the ones who have seen him before.

Now don’t quote me on this because I have not heard anything with my own two ears. My cousin who had her 1^st consult with Dr. Savoie on Oct 30^th of last year is also waiting on DS. She called recently to know the status and she was told that Dr. S would probably begin DS early next year.   Again, do not quote me as I am not exactly sure and I am just giving you what I heard through the grapevine so it could easily be incorrect. This is what my cousin told my mom a couple of weeks ago.

I, too heard that.  Apparently his nurses have to go to Quebec to train for that procedure.  I also heard he wanted to do the easy ones first which of course would be the lapbands.  You may want to call his office to confirm that information.

I saw Dr Savoie on June 1, for my 2nd consult...he told me he would be starting the DS's this fall.  He also mentioned that he would be doing bands all summer, and then he and his staff would evaluate if they were ready for the DS.  If they agreed they would then be sent to Quebec for more training for the DS, otherwise they would continue with the bands That was in June that he said fall, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is now the new year.

Hi ,People well i went to see Dr Savoie 0n the 27 th of november last year and i`m still waiting for the second consult..very discouraged right now ...Its a long waiting .i lost 20 pound on my own but i have regain 7 pound back.so i`m doing the bouncing ball.i call the office last week ,she told me to call again in sept ..She was putting  the list of people in the computer , she says there was at least 1000 peoples on the lists,but that doesn`t meen they are all accepted..its still doing good.8 to 10 pers week every monday.its going faster they thought .she told me not to give up and if she could tell me more she would but she doesn`t  realy know.she said maybe he would star gastro by pass in fall..so let pray he will ..for everyone ,,good luck, we need lots of support without that its hard .i`m really trying to keep the faith so lets all be there for one another ..

I know waiting is hard, but that heart in that the wait is a lot shorter than it used to be.
