Seen Dr Savoie on Monday

Hi,  I went for my second consult on Monday.  I met with the nurse, dietician and Dr Savoie.  He advised me that I am a good candidate for the lapband and will be having surgery in sept.  I am just waiting for my call with the date and for the appt for my preop testing.  Just wondering what these tests will be?...and how long it should take?....I can't wait to be on the losers bench with you all.  So by the looks of it I will be on the boost soon...Anyone have any flavors they prefer?...I know there is not much choice but just wondering which one is better :)

Congrats, Missy,  sounds like Dr S was very busy on Monday!!!  Things must be really starting to roll now!  You will need blood work and an ECG both of  which take just minutes.  You'll also have to go back to Bathurst to meet with preadmission nurses...not sure what that entails but I doubt it's very much.  I recall the first preadmission I had for another surgery was just a whole bunch of questions!!   GOOD LUCK!!! Sorry I can't help you with the flavours of the Boost.  I hate them all so I'm going to struggle. I think I can manage strawberry and vanilla, if I can add a little flavouring to one or another. May be able to do choc, if I freeze it and make fudgicles out of it!!!  Try some different ideas to kick it up once in a while!!
