Good luck girl. When my surgery came to see me in the recovery room, he said, "This is the 1st day of your new life." I didn't realize at the time, what a loaded statement that is. I will not be with you when you wake up, so when you do wake up from surgery, remember that statement. This is the 1st day of your new life.

Hi
I just registered on this board . I live in Fredericton and I was not aware that there was a surgeon in NB doing Lap Band. My doctor told me about the Ontario clinic, but that it wasn't covered by medicare at all. Are you guys all paying yourselves or do you have a plan that covers it?

How do you go about contacting this Doctor, or do you have to be referred. I am 5 foot 3" and 230 pounds, so not sure what the parameters are to be considered for this surgery.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
