Views/thoughts on fills with floroscope?

This will be my 3rd fill on Thursday.  I feel like I have no restriction and it has been this way since a few days after my 2nd fill.  I am wondering ... do they ever offer to do a fill with florascope or do we have to request it.  I had restriction after my 2nd fill but it didn't last.  Has anyone else experienced this - no restriction after only a few days?  I am wondering if maybe there is a leak in my band???  Probably not but it does seem strange that restriction lasted such a short time.  I think I will call Lise/Caroline tomorrow to ask if I can have mine done with floroscope.  I am also wondering if they can draw back on the syringe and get an idea of how much saline is in the band?  If there is anyone on this forum who can answer my questions - I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks - Suzanne H

hI sUZanne, I have had all my fills done under  fluoroscope but it was for a reason.  they could not find my port without it.  I think they only do fills if there is a problem or suspicion of a problem.  They will definitely draw all the saline out and tell you how much is there.  I asked that recently myself.  That won't be a problem even without the fluoro.I have read several times on the main board that it often can take 4 or 5 or 6 fills to get good restriction.  I am the same as you.  It never lasts long but its because you are still losing weight under the band and it keeps getting loose.  You are definitely not alone. I've heard people say this is why they didn't want the band cause you spend alot of time working on will power alone.  Keep your chin up.  you will get to your sweet spot soon enough. I haven't gotten there either, but hoping soon as well. You have to remember the reason they aren't too aggressive is so that you don't get stuck on everything.  Look what charline has gone through since her last fill.  I used to get stuck alot and it is NOOOOO fun at all.

That makes sense.  I do think I will ask then to draw back on what is in there so that I can be reassured that it isn't leaking out - and I can likely wait until the day of my fill and not bother the ladies with my insecurities LOL.  I could buy into the "losing weight " thing if I was actually losing some weight.  I am hoping that I will be down between 4-5 pounds by Thursday - thta is better than a gain but it doesn't seem like a lot for 6 weeks :-(
I really don't want to be "over filled"  I want to do this right and lose the weight in a healthy way - that is the whole point of having the surgery.  Patsy, how many fills have you had? And when are you going for your next one?
Thanks for your insight.  This would be a very scarey journey to do on your own..  Thanks again - Suzanne H.

I only got one fill I get my 2nd on this tuesday, but after my first fill as well, I never did feel any restriction, Im also gonna ask my surgeon for a fluoroscopic fill next time, as I also suspect a leak.

I think its been 3 but I had an unfill in there so I get confused.  I am due again cause we were done the same day in July.  I might call them and see when I can get in.  I'm in no big hurry.  I hate gettng stuck and don't want to pu****  They put in 2 cc's the last time and i never even felt it.  it's a weird thing, this band.  anyway, hopefully we will get there soon enough.  hang in there.

It would have to be booked ahead of time to get in. It was the norm to do them that way when I had my surgery but they don't do them (Normally) that way now.

hi , ive had 6 fills and only have restriction for 10 days at most sometimes less than that. Everytime they check it  they cannot see a leak  but ...it only manages to hold 3 ....any more than that and it mysteriously disappears. they can easily check your fill level .
