Tummy troubles

I have been having tummy issues since July 25- I won't bore you with the details - but you can check out a posting I made on the main RNY board asking for opinions/thoughts on August 2nd. I ended up being admitted to Hospital for 2 nights. This will be my second night at home - I have to say - this pm I don't feel as good as I did yesterdsay. I expect rumblings and stuff as things get back to normal. But I am having some left back pain and the tummy discomfort - not pain. My point is - when I was in the ER before I got admitted - I called Lise and left a message with her to please call me back on my cell. I never heard a sound from her. Still haven't. A freind on this forum suggested that I should have posted my tummy troubles on this forum as she thinks Lise or someone may be keeping an eye on the posts. I said I didn't because I wasn't sure what was going on and I didn't want to scare off newbies or pre-ops. In any case - maybe she is away on vacation - or away from some other reason - fair enough - maybe I should have just called the George Dumont itself or Dr. B's appt secretary - but at the time - It was a miracle I managed to get Lise's # out of my handbook. But it was Tuesday - and I would think someone would be checking her calls if she was unable to do so. Just because of the nature of their service. Maybe I expect too much - maybe I'm being grouchy now that I am feeling somewhat better but not all better - who knows. But - I do know - if this does not settle down soon - I'll be heading to Moncton to get sorted out once and for all. Not that I wouldn't have had my doctor who admitted me said to me he wasn't comfortable looking after me because of my RNY surgery. But he was pretty confident that this was a dehydration/constipation/UTI/ partial large bowel obstruction that could be managed conservatively. My labs were great - I was afebrile - and I did settle fairly well after a day- and more so after 2 days. I do trust this doc and his judgement implicitly. So anyway - thanks for listening - me and my grumbly tummy are soon going to retire for the night and see what tomorrow brings. Take care everyone!      Mary

I am so sorry to read this and sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. Please call Dr B's office directly. Lise must not have got your message for some reason! I'm so sorry this is happening to you!!!!!!

Edited: can't find your post anywhere for the details but I really hope you are ok! You are right about someone should be checking her voice mail. If it doesn't say she is on vacation and who to call, someone should damn well fix that pronto!!!! You know you have a place to stay if need be.

Any update? Have you talked to Lise?

Voice mail isn't perfect- messages do get lost. I know that because we all have voice mail at work and I have left a message for someone or they have left one for me and it just disappeared into oblivion!

Hope you are on the mend Mary and everything gets resolved- no fun spending time worrying or suffering from ailments - hope you get all the answers and things get resolved - take care
