My daughter is attending a soccer camp this week and we needed to know what her pulse was for the registration. We went to Sobeys and took it on one of the BP machines. Hers read 69; I decided to take mine and it was 58!
My daughter is a twig and has very tiny limbs so I realize her reading may not have been accurate, but I will still take mine. Last year it was between 104-110 so to be at 58 now showed me that the 25 minutes of sweating it out on the treadmill every day is totally worth it.
I know finding the motivation and the time to go to the gym is not always easy, but it is a vital part of the journey. I have committed to doing the Run for the Cure in October with my daughter. I lost my cousin to breast cancer this Spring and will run in her memory.
Let us celebrate life and the ability to move once again. Someone last week I haven't seen for a while said I look 10 years younger! This journey has certainly been good to me.
