Hi everyone,
i thought I'd let you in on whats been up with me lately....
Well I've completed my GI scope, PFT, Chest Xray, EKG, Blood Screening with the results so far stating RESULTS APPEAR NORMAL. PATIENT IS CLEARED TO PROCEED!!. All that's left to do for now is my Sleep study which is scheduled for NEXT MONTH! What a surprise...an appointment for a "full sleep study" arranged in less than a month. I was expecting maybe a 6 months to a year at least.
I have an appointments to meet the endocrinologist and respirologist and my 2nd appointment with Dr Tang made for the end of October/09. Things are moving along quickly in regards to completing some of my preop tests.

Hi;
You are so very lucky to have a sleep study done so very quickly; here in NB; it took me over 1 year for appt. and I had been there before for studies; as I have two sleep disorders; PLMD and sleep apnea.
What procedure of you having done? I am 59; 275 or more; with BMI of 49; I am concerned that age here in the province of NB; may be a problem for me.
I am happy for you; keep me posted.
Judy

I have thought of that my friend and also Quebc; now they will pay in Quebec as long as they bill manually. I want to get the ball started and hopefully my family LDr. will not think; this is not for me. If so I will have to become much more assertive and have been told also; it is how he words the referral. I have read about a few Drs. in Montreal; am impressed; but have to find out from them about manual billing. I am thinking of the vertical sleeve; which is not a part of NB medicare; although they did tell me to have Dr. send it in and they would make a decision.
I can see there are a lot of hoops and loops.
Charlene; you are a sweetheart; have already been told that. :}
Hope to hear from u soon;
