Does anyone on the site know of anyone my age of 59 or close that has had weight loss surgery?

I had read in one of the stories that Dr. B; does not do anyone 55 or over; and i am wondering about Dr. Savoie; or possibly out of province.

Please let me know gals and guys if you know of anyone around this groovey grannies age. Weight: 275 BMI 49. Can't do this on my own.

Lap Band on 12/02/08

Hi! I was 55 when Dr Beausoleil did my lab band. He won't do RNY on anyone over 55. So I got too old waiting. I am happy with my band though and would not change it for the world. I am not sure what Dr. Savoie's rules are. I weighed over 250 on the day of surgery having lost about 30 pounds up to then. I had a BMI of over 50 so you will be fine I am sure.

I am sure you won't have to go out of province so long as you can get referred to Dr. Savoie pretty soon. His list is not so long a wait yet.
