Lady and ice cream
I asked Lise and Caroline today about the lady and the ice cream...
Patsy G. told us that a few people died from complications after Lapband surgery. So I asked them. They had no clue what I was talking about...Lise and Caroline told me that NOBODY died (patients of Dr Beausoleil) from complications after a Lapband surgery at Georges Dumont. So things are clear now.

I'm pretty sure that Dr B told me himself that he's lost 2 patients and at least one of them did it to herself...I could be mistaken but I thought I was told that she went right out to McDonalds after surgery...or something like that. Now isn't this weird? The bottom line is that there are rules in place for a reason and we must do our very best to follow them. Cheers!
Dr. B. told me that 2 patients had died following bypass surgery. Both had complications and one woman never left the hospital following surgery. She was really big and had many co- morbidities. She wasn't too well to start with. Nobody has died from lapband surgery
I heard about the lady and the mcdonalds incident on another site. i believe it is an urban myth. If you were to consume cheeseburgers fo soon after surgery you would throw it back up but that's about all.
I did stop by mcdonalds when I left the hosp and bought an ice cream. After 2 bites, I felt sick and regurgitated the 2 bites so I really can't see any new bypass patient eat cheeseburgers on the way home from the hospital less than 24 hours following bypass.
I wasn't testing the bypass, I was feeling hungry or thristy or something and really wanted something cold. The only thing I could think of was ice cream. i had thrush and everything tasted gross so I thought a cold ice cream would taste better. It didn't stay down anyway. i didn't progectile vomit or anything. I just came back up and I had to spit it out.

The story is a lady said good bye to ice cream for a few days before surgery and because of that her liver was too large. The doctor took one look at the liver and refused to do the band surgery and the lady woke up from surgery with incisions but no band. She did not die she just didn't get her band. Nobody had died from band surgery in Dr. Beau's practice. He is an awesome doctor and he does all he can to make sure you do well but he can only do what he can do - the rest is up to you. You have to do what you are told and use the tool as it is supposed to be used.

I'm not challening you and calling you a liar...I am merely stating that it was told me to and my husband that story about the lady who, after lapband surgery chose to live mostly on icecream cause it was easy and ended up at emerg with complications and an enlarged liver or fatty liver due to the excessive amount of fat intake and ended up passing away. I had confirm what we had heard with my husband to make sure I wasn't making it up and he concurred. forget I EVER brought it up..
