Now that I have real restriction.....
Now that I have real restriction are following the band rules ever a necessity! I find that if I don't eat slowly and small bites, it is very hard to eat at all, and the food just might make a second appearance. Some foods. like bread, have to be eaten very very slowly and small bites, with even a break between bites. I also chew so much that I am about to change my name to Thomas (the Tank engine!). I was just moving along THINKING that I was following the rules, but I have recently learned that I wasn't following the rules right.. I just thought that I would warn you girls who have not hit restriction yet.
Charline,
You can actually eat bread? To this day, I still cannot eat it; the closest I come is Ryvita Snackbread. I don't mind for the most part. Oatmeal & yogurt are definitely two of my closest friends! Enjoy the restriction while it lasts.
I also had a fill last week; on Wednesday, then an unfill on Friday! I think I have the sessi band! LOL!! Don't seem to be able to handle more than 1CC at a time post initial fill. As long as I'm losing, the rest is irrevelent.

Up until the last fill, I could eat bread as long as I don't eat fast. But since the last fill (1.5 cc). I have not been able even nibble white bread. I did eat a brown bread roll without a problem, but I ate very slowly. Potatoes don't go down real well either any more. I can eat them but slowly and real small bites.
How much do you have in your band Charline? The reason I ask is because I got 3cc and I am going for a fill next week and I am praying for some restriction. I'm able to eat bread, pasta, potatoes, salad, popcorn and anything my little heart desires with no problem. THe only thing thats been really helping me is my exercising and will power but the will power is starting to wear a little thin.
I hear you about the will power! I think I have 5cc in "Antonio (Bandaira)". I could eat anything until this last fill and now I find that the band rules are a must. With the exception of white bread, I have been able to eat what I want, but some things have to be eaten in very small bites, chewed to death, and with time between each bite. A big bite of anything could come back up or go down after some or a lot of suffering. BUT I definitely have restriction. I hope it lasts a long time. The frustrating thing is that I have only lost a couple of pounds. I am feeling frustration because it is 2 pounds that I lost before; it isn't new "scale" territory. Between the previous 2 fills I lost 7 pounds but then gained 4 pounds. Now I have lost 2 of those 4 pounds but I will only really count a loss when the scale is below where I was before gained 4 back. I hope this explanation makes sense.
