what is the criteria for medicare paying in NB?

Hello, I have my first appt. with surgeon on wed. but am afraid I may not qualify, I weigh 197lbs. and am 5'2" with diabetes, and HBP, and cholesteral. Does anyone know if medicare will pay for this surgery?

What is your BMI?  You can figure that out on this site here somewhere - Dr. Beau uses your BMI plus your other co morbidities to help him decide if you are a candidate or not.  I believe you have to have a BMI of over 35 plus co mobidities or 40 and none but don't quote me on that.

Ann is right about the criteria. You must also have made some serious efforts to loose weight, only to gain it all back......Put lead in your pocket!!
