I saw Dr Tang in his examining room for maybe ten minutes his expression said it all..NO! NO!  NO SURGERY!! But I had to go through the process. I had to lift my shirt up, lower my bottoms and turn around slowly displaying my shame. That was  uncomfortable and confused my DH and myself. He used bad scare tactics and way too simple minded drawings to explain my choice of surgery. We've been at this for several years making ourselves very aware of the risks of WLS. We never leaped into these decisions lightly! I tried not to laugh at his tactics. In the end he stated " I insisted that you drop a minimum of a 100 lbs or more, so Do Not make another appt as I will not see you because It's such a waste time for you to travel here if you don't lose the weight!" He didn't even know what certain medications that I'd listed on my info sheet were. All I know is that if I can lose 100+ lbs on my own NO surgeon will ever see my behind again. I enjoyed just being away with my DH for a few days. OMG..It is so beautiful flying over the Rocky Mountains to Victoria,BC. We arrived with plenty of time to watch the fireworks on Canada day at the harbor they were spectacular. We took a tour of the city and loved it! Rodger's Chocolates, I know I shouldn't have tasted them but OMG they are sooo Delicious!!

AS FOR DR. TANG.. UNLESS YOU HAVE A CERTAIN BMI WITHOUT TOO MANY CO-MORBIDTIES YOU'LL BE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

I obviously chose the wrong doctor. I waited to cry until I got back to the motel then I gobbled a large piece of strawberry shortcake and my DH said I love you but that is all you get for your  breakdown food! OK Yes I agree the Dr is an A$$ but you can't change what happened, so let's go out and enjoy the rest of our time here. He's sweet and understanding but knows I would down more food if I could. So we went for our city tour and finished the evening off with a walk by the harbor, is it ever beautiful at sundown.

Thank you Angela, It was definitely a learning experience for me. I am strong but still smarting around the edges and trying not to sink down into a depressed state again. I will not back down from my WLS choice I believe in it and so does my GP, other medical specialists I see.

OMG what a jerk!  Why the hell examine you?? Dr Beausoleil didn't examine me that closely?  I was weighted and my BP and the like but no more. I am sure that Dr S will treat you with a lot more respect than that. I will put you back on the list next time I update it.

Thank Charline,

My DH actually stopped the exam by pulling down my shirt because I began shaking after being asked to pull my bottoms down lower. I wanted to cry but managed to keep myself composed no way was he gonna see me cry! I agree,BP weight check and maybe expect quick look see but that wasn't what I recieved! I'm glad my DH came in with me.

Wow, your experience sounds like something out of the dark ages. What about respect for you and your husband. He was an a$$hole indeed! You don't need that negative energy in your life. Hang in there and keep plugging along. You will win at this game, I just know it.  Thinkinng about you and fingers crossed.
