6th fill today

 This is fill number 5 under flouro , still can't see a leak but there was only 3cc in the band when there should be 8cc.  This is the 3rd time that there has only been 3cc in the band so someting is wrong.Dr. B thinks there is a leak he can't see . Will check again in 3 weeks he says, Talking about a total replacement. Gained 4lbs this month.

Stephen, I am so sorry to read about your experience with the band :( My heart goes out to you. I hope that Dr B can get to the bottom of the problem for you!

thanks krista, he told me there is a 20 percent failure rate of the band . its hard not to be depressed about it.

Hey Stephen - I think we had a brief chat yesterday about a man in Italy - I would have loved to chat longer but got called and then had errands to run.  My fill was successful but Dr. Roy only put .5 ccs in - I would have liked a full cc or more.  However she said if I did not experience any restriction to call the clinic in a couple of weeks.  I had a couple of incidents of things not really sticking but causing pain so she wanted to go slow. 

To everyone else on here that I know and love - I have been absent due to a number of stressors and computer issues.  I am fine and doing well and will try to give an update later this weekend.

Stephen, if there is a leak, I am hoping, for your sake, that he replaces your band ASAP.

If your band is not working proper;y and has to be replace, will you go with another band?

Dr. B. didn't  give me a choice of RNY but if he does i will consider it,seems most people are successful with that surgery.

Is RnY something that you would want? Have you discussed this with Dr. B.? He wanted me to get the band too but I really did not want the band. I really had no problems convincing him to do RnY instead.
