Just wondering.....

I was kinda wondering what was wrong with me.....(besides the obvious...lol).  I have no problem eating anything.  I eat hamburger, toast, potatoes, pasta, eggs.  Everything that I have tried since starting solids, I have had no trouble.  So why is it that other people have problems with food.  I only eat one cup of food and I am very careful of the foods I put in my mouth (healthy) but I am finding it rather easy to eat anything....any ideas???????

I have had very very few problems. The problems I have had were small and lasted a matter of minutes. I can eat anything too. I could stick to the 1 cup of food until a couple of weeks ago. I am hungry  a lot since then. I'm looking forward to my next fill.

Jenn:

Once you get proper restriction, that will change :) Have you had your first fill yet? Oh, just read that you haven't had your first fill yet. That's why. You are "primed" with some when the band is placed but it's not 'til you get at least your first fill that you will notice anything. At least that was how it was for me. I went to 4.5 CC on the first fill at 5 weeks out and that wasn't enough for me to feel it. At 10 weeks out I went to 6.5CC and was there for a year before I had some taken out.

I have no idea...but i have trouble alot and its not from not chewing properly. I eat small bites, i chew the life out of it, but I often have trouble.  Depends on what it is.  I have a hard time with all meats and chicken.  I have trouble with scrambled eggs.  Pasta took me out for a few hours the other night in a big way.  It's odd that some can eat anything and others cant.

OMG Patsy - Eggs dont get me started we have now decided to see other people and to just send Christmas cards and be facebook friends!

I ate 4 bites of a slice of pizza tonight I felt like I had eaten the whole 12 inch pizza .. a year ago I would have eaten the whole thing and 2 litres of pop and my god what else!

Tonight is the first night that my family has had pizza that I actually thought yes I really want some and not just nibbled at a lil piece of toppings but after 4 bites - it just sat there - a big glob of starch - so I wont be doing that again for a while - bought some low carb tortilias today at Petes so I might try my own version of a pizza - with a crispy light crust.

Well hopefully I will notice a difference after my first fill.  Not that I am asking for trouble but I was starting to wonder why I don't have any problems with food and others do.

I cannot eat bread unless it's a 6 inch veggie sub from Subway! Earlier this week I had a tomato & cucumber salad with balsamic vinaigrette and man, what a nasty experience.

I eat a lot of soup: chicken with organic barley, carrots, spinach & tomatoes. I mostly eat steel cut oats in the morning with a yogurt to which I add soy nuts for protein. I also enjoy figs. I find them to be filling and meaty and are a great snack.

The name of the game is experimentation. Restriction will come with the fills.
