Question about Weight Loss

In theory, if you eat right and exercise, you should lose weight. It's a great theory but I've yet to see a theory in practice and have it come out exactly right. Reality is for most of us, we have dieted on and off for many many years and have done horrors to our metabolisim. And we are not all built alike. What works for one may not for another. We certainly don't all lose the same.

The 2 pound a week plan is a theory, I think. People lose as they lose. Some even gain a little ever so often on their way to loss. It is natural. If you have gained a few pounds here and there but are losing otherwise, I think that's alright. You and only you know if you are following the rules or not. If you are not then you know why you are not losing and if you are following the rules and not losing, don't worry, you will. It is inevitible. I really don't believe 2 pounds/week is average. It would be nice though.

I had rny on feb 12 and to date have lost only 30 pounds where Debbie had rny 7 weeks ago and have lost 70 pounds. I have not cheated or overeaten or anything. It's just that her and I lose weight differently. I'm glad for her. I'll get there all be it a bit slower.

I lose slower than many of the young chicks here too. One more reason not to get old! LOL
