Does anyone know what retailers carry "the Bento Box" lunch box system. I am on ebay checking them out BUT there are just too many kinds and most of them originate from Japan and are "Hello Kitty"

Inquiries Please, Sugarbear

Well, I guess to put it simply, it is a Japanese Lunchbox!  I know it sounds weird but what I understand the Japanese are very healthy eaters. They believe in sending their children off to school with a lunchbox that looks normal on the outside, but is sectioned off on the inside into little seal tight squares. They put different foods or sushi in these little sections and there is one for sause. So little compartments which contain different finger foods for the kids. Sounds healthy to me. Anyhow, that is why so many of them are in kids motif. The adult bento boxes do the same thing.  Small, individual portions that add variety and just enough food for our sleeves or pouches. Grand idea, isn't it.

Ahhh, you must be on holiday! Yes, that is where I saw them too!  I am sure there must be a retailer somewhere. They are such a great idea. Just enough food for us FREAKS.  If you come accross them, and buy yourself one, then, please, buy yourself 2 and sell one to me. LOL Keep in touch pretty lady,

Cheers, Sugarbear-Carmen

I have the same system that Eggface uses. It's called laptop lunches. http://www.laptoplunches.com/

It's cute little system that comes with it's own little case. The only problem is that there are a couple of the containers that don't have covers for them so you have to be careful with what you put in there. It also comes with a little booklet that gives you some lunch ideas. I got the pick one for some strange reason. :-D

I also got a cute little one from Japan (I had a friend going over there pick me up one). It's got a little cloth carrying case, and it comes with its own chopsticks too.

I love the little bento boxes. I have't bought any of the accessories because i think that I would start going crazy with them. ;-D

Also, there's another site where a mom makes a different lunch for her child everyday, and uses the laptop lunch system. It's so cool to see all of her ideas. http://veganlunchbox.blogspot.com/
