Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!!
I just got back from my appointment in Moncton. I have been thinking right along how lucky I was that I would be getting my staples out 4 days early. WELL! I stepped up to the desk and said that I had an appointment to have staples removed. The very nice lady said, "I don't see anything for you today, but you have an appointment on Tuesday (3 weeks after my surgery - Dahhh!) at 1pm". I was soooo embarrassed. Who drives 3 and 1/2 hours, takes yet another day off from work and doesn't check their appointment card??? They were are very gracious - especially Lise - she removed my staples and I was very grateful that I didn't have to do the same thing all over again on Tuesday. Just one more reason to give credit to the team. I didn't get to see Rinette because she wasn't there, but I will call her before I have to start the next phase of my diet. The good news is I lost another 10 pounds - yipee!!!

I hope your right LOL Between looking after my mom's, my son's and my own appointments it seems like we have at least one or more appointments/errands everyday. Busy, busy, busy - all the more reason to get this weight off - should make it easier to keep up with the day-to-day stuff. BTW my son finally got word back from his bone marrow biopsy (nothing major showed up - what a relief!!!) and the heart specialist (Dr. Forgie) feels he should be able to go ahead with the heart surgery! So now we wait to get that appointment set up - hope I don't get that one mixed up
Yay ! Congratulations on losing 10 lbs! that's awesome! It must feel great to have the staples out. I knew it was a huge transition for me. Soon you will be on regular food and finished the surgery phase. Isn't it amazing how times flies??? Keep up the great work !

Your right Patsy, once the surgery is over the time really flies. I am so looking forward to regular food. I thought I would be glad to get onto the pureed food from the full liquid, but truthfully I'm finding it was easier on the full liquid. I'm having a bit of difficulty getting past the "looks and texture" of the pureed stuff. The good news is everything I eat stays down!
