Yes, I would be the same way....I wonder if Dr Savoie suggests what is best or just goes by what you think you want?  Who knows...I guess we will find out when we go for our first consults.

What to you feel comfy with DS or VSG  say them out loud and listen to what you say and how you react to.  Anyway I am sticking with the DS I still find it to be the best suited for me. I don't want to be restricted for ever and the DS allows that. I have four personal friends that had the DS done when Dr. Coulhoun in Saskatoon Saskatchewan was doing them 10 years ago. All my friends are living a healthy, happy wonderful life. They eat pretty much anything, two are now lactose intolerant, but other than that they eat what they want and are at their idle weights for 10 years.

Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy being the first part of DS, I'm going to be prepared for either yet open to Dr. S's good judgement. Since consults are not being booked until the fall(hopefully sooner!!!), I'm taking the extra time to lose more weight.

I had confirmed with Dr Savoie's office that they received my referral on December 4th.  I'll be jumping and screaming with joy and will let you guys know as soon as I hear anything at all....

I hope that surgery can happen before Christmas.  I start working in May and finish in October.  If I was able to have surgery before Christmas, I would have time to recover before May...

That is what I'm praying for....

I'm so happy that things have started...I wasn't posting much, too depressed and the conflicting information and lack of..we weren't getting anything and now poof...all is moving...

Good luck to everyone who gets in before me!  I wish nothing but smooth sailing and have ordered a new bench since the old was was a bit small...this one will be able to accomodate all of us...snugly at first but with plenty of room afterwards...*I'm ranting I know...I'm just giddy with happiness*..

Talk to you guys later, I'm off to bed...
