Update

Looks like they're still calling folks from the first half of October.  I had my first consult on October 23.  She said I probably won't get into see him until August.

Very disappointed.  Sorry, but I am.

Wow! Who knew he saw that many people in early October. I was assuming that for an 8 hour day, he would see probably 7 people because he seemed to have taken one hour per person. I guess that he's not seeing more than probably 3 or 4 people for the 2nd consult maybe. And who knows, he may even have seen people before October. I went the same day as you Anita. Maybe he's taking his vacation later and longer than what we thought.

I forgot that you went the same day.  We can wait impatiently together.  I was better, really, when we didn't know anything.  Now that we know more, and things aren't moving the way *I* think they should (childish), I'm getting frustrated. 

Even if she meant that the surgery doesn't happen until AUgust, it's likely that the 2nd consult will be in August too.  At least late July. 

Again, she didn't know 100%, she was only guessing.  I SUPPOSE the man's allowed a vacation.  We want him well rested before he starts rooting around.

But STILL.  I'm at the end of my tether with the waiting, but I'm kicking my own @ss and trying to remain positive and patient.

We just have to play the waiting game. It's coming up to vacation time for everyone right now, so we just have to keep taking into consideration that he does deserve a vacation all the while  upping our daily valium allowance. ;-)

 

Upping our daily valium allowance... But even my regular GP is heading for vacation soon. Must stock up on candy supplies.

I *suppose* one needs to be rational.  Darn you, Ms. Nougat.

Awwww. Now I’m upset. I was hoping you would get your call today or tomorrow. I’m so sorry Anita. I wonder what’s up. Like you said, he probably has vacation scheduled in July.

 

I remember when I spoke to his secretary at my initial consultation; she told me he was seeing 15 patients every Thursday.

 

I don’t blame you for being upset, frustrated, and down right pissed off. You have every right to be Anita, I would be fuming so vent away. You have been very patient throughout this process so I mean to vent helps a lot.

 

Keep your chin up – August will be there before you know it.
