I need some Puree ideas.
I have to do mixed liquids/puree for the next week and need some PUREE ideas.

Ok Patsy trying to go back almost a year in my brain.... not easy with my memory gaps but here are some ideas:
* the gourmet soups in a box - carrot/squash/asparagus/tomatoe- they are so flavourful and you can also add them into if your allowed puree beef or chicken as the "gravy" for moistness.
* seafood- love shrimp and scallops - crab too and lobster too but is pretty dense - all can be pureed and some mayo or miracle whip added to make a lovely meal
* I still can do eggs but a lot of people love egg salad.
* pears pureed a really good and nice change from applesauce
* you can puree cauliflower and make it into whipped cauliflower like a potatoe dish !
* I pureed a lot of chilli when I got to that phase and loved it with some sour cream - not sure if you are allowed the meat part? You can still do chilli or taco flavouring with refried beans and kindney beans and black beans.
* of course you can add fruit into your shakes- extra fibre and taste
* Oh editing to mention to ya cream of wheat - high in iron made with milk is pretty easy to get down - still find oatmeal a lil heavy but in the beginning I ate a lot of cream of wheat.
Thats about all I can think of girly - not sure if this is what you were looking for !

I go next Thursday May 14 for a fill but for the last week and a half I've been getting stuck every day or every other day and frustrated with it and the pain. I called the office today and Lise suggested I do mixed liquids or puree's if I can tolerate them until I see the doctor. I probably need some healing. I've had a tough go of it in this regard. Anyway, I'll get better. Thanks for the ideas. patsy

I took boneless, skinless chicken breast and poached it in low-sodium chicken broth. I added onions while poacing. Once done, I strained the broth and put the chicken and the broth in the blender and added more broth if needed. I also boiled carrots & turnips; strained once cooked, and in the blender with you guessed it, chicken broth! I would then take a bit of both mixtures, stir it all together and stick it in the microwave.
You can use any vegetable you like. I found these worked well because the carrots are naturally sweet and the turnip low in carbs. Hope this helps.
