Let's try again- My sweet treat-
Charline's Sweet Delight
Cottage cheese (source of protein & calcium)
Cinnamon to taste (it helps regulate blood sugars)
1 or 2 packets of Splenda (1 when it's lunch, 2 whenit's dessert)
(stir well)
A tablespoon more or less of granola on top
I like to stir the granola and let it sit for a few minutes.

Charline try this-
I take cottage cheese
add a berry flavour from either crystal light or some sugar free jello- you dont need a lot its to make it not taste like cottage cheese! lol
add berries - my fav is blueberries- but I like raspberries and strawberries too!
top off with fibre one cereal - "or twig poop logs" as they are often referred to !
and my new find- top it off with some crushed walnuts
Thats my fav dessert/or protein booster at the moment- I could literally live off of this stuff but I do it in moderation and depending on where you are at post op will depend on how much you can eat!
Enjoy

My sweet treat is ONE chocolate covered cookie. Just one though, any more than that and i dump. There are so many foods that i still can't eat but I am able to eat 1 cookie or 1 handful of potato chips. Not a whole small bag just a handful.
I can't eat fruit (raw or canned) can't eat vegetables (raw or coked). Can't eat chicken in any form or porkchops, Sometimes I can eat 4 ounces of steak and I have no problem with hamburger meat. I am able to eat well cooked pasta but very little bread.
I try foods and spend a lot of time either puking or dumping. That's the price I pay I guess. Something that I ate yesterday, I might dump or puke on today. That sucks. I am 7 weeks out now. Hopefully I will soon be able to eat fruit and veggies. I really miss them more than I thought I would. And they are good complex carbs.

Oh Maggie I remember the days of not so much fun with the pukin and foaming and yuk of my testy pouch!
I am actually going thru this all over again not pouch per say related but looks like my gallbladder is an issue- on the list for the ultrasound but dense protein is pretty hard to get in right now so its a struggle.
It does get better although I believe I dont dump- think I would have had an episode by now at almost 11 months if I was cause sometimes I have looked at the sugars in something a lil late lol - generally I dont really test the waters and stay away from the simple carbs and sugars and high fats... no need for me to start down the road of temptation!
Make sure you keep a journal or food log of what you try and how it was prepared and what happened- it all begins to run together at one point! Its very easy to get discouraged and feel like there is nothing that agrees with you - writing it down and re-trying things prepared differently sometimes is the trick.
To do any dense protein - I need a sauce to help it - I have gotten pretty creative in sauces to help moisten my meats and chkns/fish.
I even now will think ok I cant eat that it bugs my pouch -
So tlets say carrot sticks - can eat a couple carrots cooked but raw not so much- feels like it gets stuck - well this week I tried carrots with yummy humus from cosco and yay I can eat carrot sticks again! But for months cause of a few bad times I had written them off.
So I am starting to be able to go back to more fruits and raw veggies- still sometimes hard to fit that in while trying to get in all my protein but I am finally on some days actually hungry so a snack of hummus and carrots is a great thing!
So keep on trying girly you will get there - just try to make sure everything you put in your food plan has nutritional value and protein first - not doing enough protein my first 4-5 months was so much of my problem in my complications- I wasnt healing properly - wasnt bouncing back and was so weak and tired and was susceptible to many viruses- more hair loss than necessary - ugghhh it was such an awful time - but it all turned around when I upped my protein - I was nurturing my body and feeding it what it needed and I got healthy! The weight came off also.
If I can do this girlfriend so can you - rejoice in your NSV and stick to a plan and the lbs will come off and more importantly you will get healthy and have a new lease on life!
hugs
