New Kid on the Loser's Bench!
Hi everyone, well I'm home and in an upright position. Thanks for all your kind wishes and warm thoughts. It was a long day yesterday but everything went well in the end. Apparently it took rather a long time for me to get fully awake - like forever!!! I have no memory at all of being in the first recovery room and my first time that I noticed the time in the second recovery room was at about 6:30 or 7pm. I wasn't real sharp at the best of times but I think we left at about 8:30PM - Jenn may know better as I called her shortly after we left. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH JENN for checking on me and reporting back to the forum!
Right now i am quite sore and have shoulder pain (from the gas I assume) I drift in and out of sleep. I was sick to my stomach once in recovery and then once more when I got up around 4AM - nothing too serious though.
The only time I cried was when it was all over and I thought about my pain and how it was nothing compared to what my son has a head of him.
Overall things are right where they should be for me - I think.
Thanks again to everyone and CONGRATS to all on Dr. Savoie's list!!!!

Glad to see that you are home. Being upright is always a good thing.
Welcome to the losing side of things. You will be amazed at how quickly you lose and what you lose it off first. It is never where you think you will lose first. LOL
You must feel better now that the anxiety and the worry and wait is over. The stress of that is enough to drive one nuts alone. Glad to see that you are all done.
Next step now is Ian. Once he is all done it will be a lot better for you. That worry will be over too.

Oh Suzanne I am so glad things are going well. That shoulder pain and pain around your port incision will be the things that really bother you. The stuff they fill you up with to be able to do the surgery is the stuff that goes to the left shoulder and hurts like a "bugger" as my Dad says. Try to start walking around and get moving as soon as you can. That will help get rid of it. Follow the rules to the letter and you will do just fine.
Oh I just wish I could hug you and Jenn and now all the Savoie waiters are hearing wonderfully positive news finally. What a grand thing this is!!!
Keep us posted on how you are doing.
