who had a consult with Dr. Savoie and who has not

Just a quick note too see how many have had a consult and who have not? Maybe his waiting list is not as big as we think!! I talk to Sharon and she said he has about 50 refferal at his office. That is not a big number. Not everyone well have surgery either, they might of had it already with someone else if they are on other waiting lists. I guess it boils down to what kind of surgery you are haveing. Lap band is day surgery right? So he can do a few each time. How many DS'ers are there? I am. So here is praying that we get through this faster than we think

Hi Stephanie:

I am still waiting for a consult my referral was sent to Dr Savoie and received on January 2nd from my family doctor.  When were you speaking to Sharon?  Did you ask her what the process was for calling people for consults if they just call the once and if there is no answer they move on or would they leave a voice message if by chance you were not at home?  So many questions maybe i will call her myself.  I can't wait for this to start and if this is the case that only about 50 referrals are waiting for consults then that is awesome.

She never went in to detail with the answering machine thing. She is very calm,understanding and informative. We talked about me being from Manitoba and how or if it makes sense for me to have two appointments before surgery because of the distance. Just questions she jotted down and was going to ask Dr. Savoie for me. I also told her that I wanted to have the DS surgery not the lap band, waiting time maybe different! She did take my home # and cell # so she could hopefully call me back with some answers.

I have had  my consult with the Dr. on October 30th .

 

I’ve had my consult on October 9th

i went to see Dr Savoie in nov 27 th...i call sharon too she ever nice ...she talk fast so i could keep up ..but she said she have alot of question to still ask Dr Savoie..just to make sure she know all the answer to are question....

I had my consult Oct 16th with Dr Savoie for the DS.
