Back to Reality

I'm back from vacation and back to work.  We had a great time with lots of adventure.  My most exciting things to report at the two outings.  First we each rented Jet Skiis and rode them for an hour and a half.  I always wanted to be on a jet ski.  It was outrageous !!!!   I'd go back tomorrow and do it again.

The other fun adventure was that we went Parasailing.  They took us out on a boat in the ocean in front of the public beaches and sent us up on a parachute 1000 feet in the air.  We did some free falling and then they dipped us in the water a few times.  It was the best thing ever.  I thought my weight would hold me back, but it was no problem at all.  I thought I would cry with excitement but was too excited and happy.  When I get a chance, I'll post some pictures for you to see.

Also, I bought tons of clothes, mostly size 24 (used to be 32) and what a variety to pick from.  It's great shopping in whatever store you want to.  Was never able to do that before.

I think my most exciting thing was getting on the plane, sitting down and buckling up without having to get a seatbelt extension.  OH MY GOD...IT FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!  My DH said to me...that's a great Non Scale Victory !  I said " you bet it is".  I felt Normal.

At no point during the week did I feel like the obese woman that everyone stared at.  I felt normal like everyone else.    what a great feeling.

If I think of more, I'll write again later.  Just wanted to share the best parts first !!!!

Thanks for reading...Pats

So glad to hear you had a fabuous vacation  - parasailing, jetskiing - and of course the always great feeling of getting in that seat on the plane and buckling up with no problem. Glad your shopping went well- nice to actually "enjoy"shopping isn't it - vs getting frustrated because you can't find anything. You derserved every min of your great trip!

I am so happy for you, I am all misty.  Good for you Patsy!!!!!!  It feels great doesn't it?  Normal is not just a visual thing, its a state of being and its an emotional high.  I am just so pleased you had such a wonderful time.

Hubby and I are tentatively booked for another cruise next February and so I am already hoping that between now and then the weight goes away forever.

First fill next Wednesday, I am kinda nervous about it.  I have been struggling a bit since I got back but I hope the doctor does not go too agressively with the fill.  I don't want an unfill right after my first fill.

Do you think you will be wanting another fill soon or are you still doing okay in that regard?

Patsy, sounds like you had a super fantastic time in florida. Did Felix behave himself and was your fill o.k.?  How was your stomach problem? Did it act up on your trip? I can't wait for that "NORMAL" feeling of which you speak. Bet your next trip will be even better than this trip was. You are doing fantastic!!!!!

Felix was well behaved.  I got a bit stuck on a mouthfull of watermelon, but i was able to resolve that relatively easily.  My stomach didn't hurt while I was away, but it has hurt a bit since I've been back.  I am wondering if there is something in my diet that is bothering my stomach, but can't think of what it is.  I'm undecided about my next fill.  Haven't gotten a date yet so we will see when the call comes in.  I also need to get my test results...so should hear from them about that as well.  It can be a slow process at times.  how are you feeling these days...getting better????

Yes. Thank you for asking, Patsy. Tuesday I cooked a big turkey and I was able to eat real turkey smothered in gravy. It was so good and it stayed down. So, I am slowly starting to get back some meat. Tonight I am going to try a  pork chop baked in cream in mushroom soup.
