Charline W.....
Hi Charline , you were banded on Feb.24 . I havn't been on much , just lurking & reading . I am wondering how you are doing with the band . How much weight have you lost ? Do you find it hard or easier to eat less food ? When do you get your first fill ? Us waiters , like to know all the things we are getting into. One of these days we will get a call , I'm sure (hopefully). I really wonder what is going on in Bathurst that is holding things up !! I hope that its all going well for you & the band .
I'm doing just fine with my band. It really isn't doing a lot for me at the moment, because I don't have any restriction at all. I find that I fill up easily, but I think that is because I was on the liquid diet for so long. A can't finish a whole bowl of hearty style soup. We went to Montana's for hubby's birthday and I ordered pot roast soup and a side of potatoes and I had enough for that meal and lunch at work the next day! I've lost over 30 pounds but the majority of that came off before surgery. I have only lost about 5 pounds since surgery. I guess that's normal. As I have been getting back to my usual routine, I find that I am losing inches but not pounds. That's OK by me. I am down to a size 22 from a 26. Size 20 fits occasionally but so do some of my 24s. I have been going through my clothes again because there are mornings when I have to try on 3-4 outfits to find one that fits. Today I found a couple of tops I bought last fall for this spring (4X) and they are way too big- never even had them on- tags still on them! I am not complaining because I have had it go the other way too.
I have my first fill on April 22- I will be happy if I don't gain any weight before then.
Overall, I have had an easy time of it. I seemed to go through a lot more pain than usual the first 36 hours I was home, but when it went , it went very quickly. I have been feeling fine since and have had no issues eating anything. I am anxious to see how my first fill goes, and if it gives me any restriction. Fingers crossed!
Good to hear from you, Cat.

Thanks Charline for the information.I appreciate it . So you are doing good so far, that is great to hear. Its good to learn of all the positive things that happen...like going down in sizes , & losing inches , that is every bit as good as losing lbs. I have a good appetite ,so its great to know that even with no restriction you eat less . Just imagine when you get restriction ....the lbs should come off then . Thanks again & lots of luck with your first fill ....you are getting it on my birthday !!!
