Dr. Savoie's patients challenge

Ok, this is open to everyone but for us savoie-waiters that are anxious and nervous about the whole thing, why don't we use this energy to start our own challenge?

I know a lot of you already started and good for you.   I just replied to anitalynn's post on the latest Dr. Savoie's post by Steph_Manitoba.  She is totally right that the lapband is a change of lifestyle including a healthy diet and exercise.

Sounds easy enough right?  but why are we all here?

With the sunshine starting to warm us up *** u know what I mean) and Spring is here, why don't we re-direct our energy somewhere else?...  on us!!!

Instead of focusing on the negative part (that it's pushed, being late, might ruin my travel plans, waiting...)   let's take this time to focus on our healthy choices and exercise.

What do you think?

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to KNOW SOMETHING, but there's nothing we can do to change it right?   So it will happen eventually but we will be better prepared for the new journey.

We're lucky that we have this place to gather information from a lot of people.  In reality, we're ahead of the game since we know mostly what's going to happen.

Just a thought!

Hey Rachel:

I hear you there, let just focus on our healthy choices and get into gear and do what we can from this point on even if it is something little each day and go from there.  The walking outside is starting to get better give it a couple more weeks and to even get out and walk for 15 minutes around your neighborhood is a step in the right direction.  I know I can't walk any great distance without my back and legs and hips hurting me but in moderation it will get easier.

For all of us Dr Savoie waiters there is nothing much more that we can do to speed his end up but at least we know we are on his waiting list and things will start moving faster then you can blink an eye.  I know I have to get myself focused on eating better and at the right times.  Where I work the graveyard shift my eating habits are so out of whack it isn't funny.  I only eat one time a day well night time and that is it.  When I should be still eating 3 meals a day and have a small snack in between.  This is something I need to get in order by starting now before the time comes that I see Dr S.    With that being said Rachel I am with you 100% and with everyone's support and understanding on here we have a great and wonderful team of people.

Hugs
Beth

Great thinking, Rachel!  We need to start now, because we're not going to lose a single pound after we have the band in place if we don't do what we need to do.

The weather is nice, and spring is here...no excuses allowed!  Even if it's difficult, we have to do it to be successful - now, AND after the band.
