First and foremost I want to say a great big "THANK YOU" to Charline. You really are an angel. Paul (my commonlaw spouse-LOL) said you were delightful. I made it through fine. I have the much dreaded gas pains that everyone warned about and I can handle that ok but the real problem is the pain right in the dead centre of my chest. It is the exact same pain I always get from my hernia. Exactly. That makes me wonder. Did all you banders have this as well? I can barely tolerate it. I'm walking through the gas though. Here's to a better tomorrow. Thanks for all the support everyone, back to bed for me. PS, glad to hear you're finally eating something Maggie.

I was just speaking to Paul and he pretty much told me what you have already said.(I am impressed, a man who listens- hang on to him!)  I think what you are feeling is the hernia repair. The band is right where the hernia  used to be. I didn't have much pain there but my hernia was small. Besides everyone is different.

It sounds like Paul is taking good care of you. Take advantage  of every last minute of it to get well.

Glad you are all done and home Star. Now your new life begins. Just think this time next year, you will be much smaller and buying regular size clothes and doing regular things and giving no thought to ever being overweight. Exciting stuff indeed. And you were worried if you were going to make it to surgery.  Something to look back at and laugh at in time.
December  2007 / 293 pounds (higest weight)
Day of surgery  Feb 12 /09 / 251 pounds
Current  weight /  206  pounds
First  Goal 199  (onederland)
Second  Goal / 180  (I'd be happy here if I never lost another pound)
Final  Goal / 140  (final goal, more of a wish)
