I went to see Dr. B. last Friday on the 13 of March and at that time he opened my stenosis with the gastroscopy and said to eat gradually up to solids. I ate soup and mashed foods on Sat and Sun. Monday I startes to eat soft foods and by Tue was starting to feel so much better because i was eating again. Well on Wednesday I threw up supper. It was cheese omlet. I only ate 2 forkfuls. I just thought maybe I can't tolerate eggs. Every day since I have thrown up and now am wondering if the stenosis is back. My stomach really hurts. When I am washing dishes my stomach rests on the edge of the counter and just it resting there, hurts my stomach. It doesn't pain it just hurts. I am going back to soup today and seeif that helps. I haven't eaten anything solid yet. Most solid thing I've eaten is bread and learned quickly that I can't eat bread. Next to that I eat canned beans. That's soft. This is getting old fast. I had surgery 5 weeks ago. I have not eaten a real meal since Jan 25. If it's not better by Mon or Tue I suppose I'll have to go back to Moncton.  Grrrr

I just ate 1/2 cup beans, 1 egg and 2 thin slices of tomato and so far so good. Staying down. For lunch I plan to have 1/2 cup kidney beans and 1/2 cup chopped orange. We'll see what happens then.

Oh you poor thing.  It just isn't fair that some people sail through these procedures and others have to go through torture.  I feel I have had my fair share of problems since my surgery but getting better, I hope.  I have to go back this friday for an ultrasound.  not sure what of...but they are trying to rule out things.  Anyway, my dear, I hope your days getter better.  You deserve it.  I'm thinking about you....take care, Patsy

Thank you Patsy. What are they looking for in the ultrasound? You had that stomach problem awhile back. Did the losec help with that at all? Really sucks when you go through this surgery to make yourself better and end up with a bunch of different problems than you started with. My weight loss has dropped to nothing because i am unable to eat much of anything. I haven lost any weight in a while. Does not really matter becauce I feel so sick and so awful that the weight loss or lack of it does not mean that much to me. I just want to feel normal and well again.

I swear to God that right now I would gladly go back to weighing 275 pounds and feel well and be able to eat  than how I am feeling right now. Sounds hard to believe but it's the honest truth.
