Soooooo Loosers  A few questions for you.

What do you do differently now that you have lost a pile of weight?

Buying clothes is different. Before I would just buy what ever fit..even if it was too big, as long as it was not too small I bought it. The color or style or lack thereof didn’t matter.  Now unless it fits properly and looks good, I do not buy it. Shopping is fun now. Not something I dread.   I am more active and not quite as shy as I was. I used to live in flip flops or sneakers, now I wear heals every day. I burned all my flannel PJs *wink wink nudge nudge*

What do you do surprisingly the same?
I still pull the seatbelt allll the way out before buckling up like I had to before I lost the weight. And sometimes forget and just let it go thinking it will be snug and it zips back in and slaps me in the side of the face LOL I still refuse to sit in lawn chairs.
What has changed the most for you other than the scales or clothes size?
I try different things now that I would have just let pass by because I was too big to even try.  This summer I went kayaking, and we did a lot of canoeing.  And I went on rides at the Exhibition. Before I would just say, nah I’m too big and never even really consider these things.
What has change has surprised you the most, what happened that you were not expecting?
I actually went to the doctor about 2 strange lumps that appeared on my chest at the base of my neck.  Once she stopped laughing she told me it was just my collar bones and now I could see them since I lost weight. (I do love her) I thought I had some strange tumor action going on and had convinced myself that I was going to die.  Story of my life I thought, I finally loose weight, now I’m going to die before I can enjoy the new bod.  We at least I’d make a better looking corpse (honestly, those were my thoughts)

How about a funny weight loss story:
I was in our village store one day last year and the owner came up to me and asked me if I was Carol McNeil’s sister , since I looked familiar and she could not place me. J My family is from another village so she had never seen my sister before, who is 5"10, red hair and gorgeous. I’m only 5"5 and have black hair and ..well we won’t go there LOL   My daughter will be 18 in July and people have asked her if I was her sister when I drop her off or take her places – I thought your mom was coming sorta thing.   The gossip train had my husband having an affair with some younger woman that had the guts to drive my car when I was at work and was EVEN seen walking with him through the village HOLDING hands in public with him one evening…the HUSSY!

Oh my goodness, these stories are just so funny.  Itsn't it great to have them to share. Especially the husband story.  It must be amazing to look back and see all the physical changes not even to mention the emotional ones. Isn't life grand. I just cannot wait to be there.  I am going to want to journal every day.  This journey will be a very important part of my legacy. Thanks for sharing. Sugarbear

Ahhh yes, the infinite wisdom of small town gossip. I wonder what my home town will have to say about the new slimmer me this summer. I  will either be dying of something and having a last fling with every Tom Dick and Harry. Maybe all 3 at once!!!

I may only be down thirty some pounds but I have been having a ball hunting for quality used clothing in sizes 16 and 14. I confess to even buying a size 12 -as a goal.  I was size 26 and I am size 22. I have tons of  sizes 20, & 18 stored away. I haven`t had this much fun buying clothes in years and years. I have also taken an active interest in skin care products and actually using them!! LOL

I see I have lots to look forward to.
