Both are too close to take a bus because you have to walk half way to the hospital to catch the bus. The Bonaccord is the closest of the two. Neither is very far unless the sidewalks are icy. The Dumont Hospital is on University Ave. I will try to give you directions. If you go to map Quest you will see how easy it is. I don't know which side of the street is even or odd numbers
John St - Go east on John St to Bonaccord St. Then Left to Mountain Rd. (only the distance of 1 house John St and Mountain Rd). Turn right and about a hundred feet is a set of lights - Turn left- This Universite Ave (if you map quest it use the french spelling). If you turn the wrong way at the lights you will be on Archibald St(one of those darn 2 named streets). The hospital is on the second block ahead (1000 ft???).
If you stay on Bonaccord St leave out the first part and head north to Mouintain Rd. 250 is not far from Mountain Rd.

An FYI from a Monctonian here- if it storms on Monday and the buses aren't running (like last monday) you can call the cabs because it takes the fires of hell to get them off the road.
The truth is, and I find this a shame that there aren't any hotels or motels next door to the Dumont. If you found one on John street it would be the closest and you would just need to walk till the end of John. It's a long street, but not that bad.
Bonnarcord can be close too, but it would depend on where the hotel is because that street is also quite long
Also, the bus system is confusing I have to admit because I haven't even figured them out yet. If I were you, I would just call a 857-3000 for a cab.
they are reliable and always running. It would probably cost you around 5 bucks.
Taking a bus is confusing, you may need to switch buses depending on where you are and it could delay you by a half hour for no reason. the cabs is moncton are very fast, you call and they are at your door in 5 minutes
