Are there angels among us?

Our group has 2 surgeries coming up but no Angel has been ID for either lady. First question, Star and Debbie would you like an angel to check on you and report back to us on how you are doing? It isn't too early for those about to sign their consent to shop for an Angel either. Second question is. who would like to be an Angel? Yes I know you are all angels, but in this case we need angels with the time or work schedule to allow them to make a call or three.

Although the stress probably raised my blood pressure a couple notches ... I am willing to have my name on the Angel list (with a  twist, so I have been told, LOLOL).

I believe a little while back Rachel and Charline M also volunteered so they may be chiming in soon too.

In case anyone is new or not clear on the "responsibilities" - simply to be a voice for the site when your angellette is undergoing surgery.  You would remind everyone of her/his upcoming surgery so that we can pray/send good thoughts/energy on the surgery day, add comments to their surgery page and provide a progress report (either from the family/support person or on location if you live close) so that everyone would know how the wls went and if any complications.

Now of course when my time comes along ... there may be expectations of nightly foot massages and prechewing my protein but that fine print can be further discussed before you sign the contract ... JUST KIDDING

I'll tell you a little secret that may explain some of your stress on that faithful day. I told my DH to call you & that you were in my contacts list.  Good so far....My DH doesn't have a cell phone....I am thinking he didn't know how to access the number........of course he likely thought that he should know how so....  Besides, despite my telling him to take off for a few hours, he never left day surgery.

I would love to have an angel. I don't really know if it will be necessary since I just can't seem to stop eating today. I don't know if it's the pending "no eating" or if i'm just hungry but I just can't seem to stop. If I don't soon stop, I'll end up having the surgery postponed. That would be just awful.
I am really glad you're feeling better too, Charline. And Maggie, glad to hear you'll soon be getting those staples out. I am not looking forward to them.

 I also would love to have an  even though my surgery is 1-2 months off I like to have my ducks in a row so to speak.  I would be honoured to be an angel to someone else.  Starr, unless you had someone else in mind, I would love to be your angel.  These posts to the forum are very important to all of us I expect.  When you are waiting for surgery it is especially important to know that those who are going before are coming out okay - if ya know what I mean LOL

While I am not sure of OH's official protocol, but I will post a list of those interested  in being angels.  Someone in need of an angel can send a PM to someone on the list and once the "match" is made, either can announce it on the board.  That sound good to everyone?
