Pre-op and surgery date

Apparently I also received my call yesterday morning for my pre-op. I didn't answer though. I called them back today  and they told me I was scheduled for Mar 20th too but since they couldn't get ahold of me, it was cancelled . They took additional phone #'s for next time they call. I was so sad  about it but then they called me back this afternoon and lo and behold, they put me back in for the 20th. Pre-op tests are tomorrow. I think I'm up 2 lbs  though from last week's consent signing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not though. We really are moving right along.

Actually, we were both scheduled for the 20th initially. It would have been nice to have gone at the same time but I'm more glad you're taking a trip. It will be a nice break before you go for your surgery.

It's noon of the 25th. By now you are in the midst of your pre op. How did your weight issue go? Is everything OK?  You must be so excited!! I am so excited for you. Almost there now!!!!!

Which proceedure are you having? Band or bypass?

Whew!! What a long day. I was down .2, hardly worth mentioning but at least I wasn't up. I am not looking forward to the meditrim and definately not looking forward to the cost of it. I'm a *****eap my friends tell me.LOL. Oh well, gotta do what I gotta do, I guess. I think I'm going to go with all bars though. I just don't want to spend alot of money on the drinks if I won't be able to tolerate the taste. Anyway, I don't start it until next Friday so I won't fret over it today.

I was talking to the other lady who was banded the same day as I and she also had diarrhea from MediTrim. The shakes seemed to cause it more than the bars. I would recommend it over SlimFast. I wasn't hungry. I found it was best to make the shake with a couple of spoons of Benefibre. I would put the water in, an ice cube, the Meditrim, occasionally some Crystal Light, and then the Benefibre. I would whirl it for a minute and let it sit for a few minutes while I would something else.  I would give it another good whirl before drinking it.
