Charline made it to Moncton bright and early this morning (by 7:30 according to my phone).

I spoke with her a half hour ago and she was just waiting to go in.  Surgery was to start at 10:45 so she should be out and under at the moment getting banded!  WOOHOO

Will post an update once I hear or see her husband.  So please everyone keep her in your thoughts and prayers (I know you probably already are) for the next little while so there will be no complications.  If you don't pray then as the saying goes - swing some chickens!

I was going to post her surgery page so we could add our comments and well wishes but she forgot to update her profile ... guess she was still waiting for a date, LOL.  So everyone, once you get your date be sure to add it to your profile so we can add our comments in the future.

So glad that you're home recuperating Charline!! Now you're journey can really start.

I've missed you all too!! I've had two uncles pass away since the end of December, and I've had some damage done to my house because of all the snow and ice, an infected ingrown toenail, on top of some plain old SAD, so I've been kind of walking around like this  for a while. I'm hopefully crawling out of my fetal position now.

Wow, PN, that's a lots to deal with. I am sorry to hear about your Uncles. My condolences to you and you, Mom or /and Dad. Don't let SAD get you, Get as much sun light as you can, also recent research suggests that extra vitamin D fights SAD. Worth a try.

OH MY GOODNESS CHARLINE!!

How are you doing?  I haven't been able to keep up with the board here lately so I didn't even know you were going in for surgery.  Glad everything went well and I can't wait to see you and hear about how you are doing!!!

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doing fine now. It started kind of rough but I'm well now. I have lost about 35 pounds (from the start last fall).  I have to learn how to eat again but you know that one well.

Today is YOUR big day! I am so happy for you and I’m sure all will go well! I am thinking of you but I’m sure by now you are in recovery making jokes half spaced out on medication!

Let us know as soon as you can of how you are doing!!!!

So I hunted Charline down ... a cell phone turned off will not stop me from getting an update ... I was fully prepared to bluff my way as her "sister" if necessary to check on my girl.

Charline first wanted to thank everyone for the prayers   and good energy sent as she was completely calm going into the surgery ... almost felt like she was going to get her nails done, lol.

The surgery went very smoothly, no complications.     Drugs worked mighty fine.  She doesn't even remember Dr B checking in on her later during recovery.  She had a great rest and would prefer to simply sleep there but the rates are too high so they are kicking her out.  Hubby was getting her ready as we were on the phone so it wouldn't be too late/dark for the ride home.  They just have to stop for water to keep her sipping along - so far no troubles in that department either.

Once she gets home and settled, Charline will pop in unless the drugs put her asleep again   ... very good drugs  !  Has just a bit of pain in her shoulder.

So victory today for wls waiter Charline ... graduated to the "loser" side!

Let's watch her dance ...
