Snowed in and Lovin'it!

It is a nice feeling to be snug and warm at home.  I had a crazy drive home from work.  I was very thankful that my DH was with me to do the driving - not usually the case.  I hope everyone that had to be on the road today has arrived or will arrive home safe and sound.  This time of year traveling for appointments can be risky at best.
More than snow storms, I am concerned that my son's medical appointments (he's waiting for a triple by-pass) will conflict with mine - and his will take priority.  No sense worrying about things that haven't happened yet I guess.
Now - about these johnny shirts.  It's been a long time since my children were born and and I have some how regained a degree of modesty.  Frankly, I don't know these OR people - at least that's what I will tell myself for comforts sake.  I have actually been very fortunate and have only had one surgery in my entire life - and that was my choice.  So I will hope that I am conscious for a very short time and just get on with it.  Nice to know that the johnny shirts are at least made for "fluffy" people :-)  I really think it will take more than a threat of embar - ass- ment to keep me from the band!
Things are moving along very fast right.  Definitely fast compared to the nearly 5 years on the waiting list.  Oh - "just let it goooo"  I will soon be on the losers bench!!!!  Can't wait.

Suzanne dear, don't worry about modesty. My sons are 28 and 29 so it's been awhile. You are completely covered. Over that warm johnny shirt there is a warm flanelette too. The only thing sticking out is youe face. You are sound asleep before anything is done. They don't even put in a foley cathereter for the surgery. So nobody is looking anywhere. I worked briefly in the OR and looking at your butt is no diferent for the staff than looking at you arm. Honest to god. Nobody even notices

To try to compare, I used to feel self consious eating alone in a restaurant untill I worked in one. Then I realized the staff couldn't give a hoot what I ate or how long I was there. They were no****ching me.
