WHOOPEE!!

 Got a call today and I will sign my consent and see Dr. B on March 13!!!!  I was also told that I will likely have my surgery in April or May.  This may give me the incentive to get back on the diet bandwagon - heres hoping.  The last few days all I have wanted to do is eat - time for a change!

Congrats Suzanne. I signed today. I told Dr B right out that my heart was set on the RNY and he said he would do the RNY then. This is what I was hoping for, that I could convince him to do it instead of the band. I did...but...then...I told him I would have the band. LOL. I have had a previous pulmonary embolism so I am too worried about the risk with the RNY...but at least he agreed to do it. I'm such an a*^. LOL. I almost talked him right out of doing the surgery all together. Anyway, good luck at your signing and ask lots of questions. Take care. Starr

 So what is the process on signing day?  Go to the same area - weight in - see Dr. B?  Did they say when they would be doing the surgery - ball park at least?  Anything else I should know?  BTW ladies I don't know about you but the "nothing but a smile" is a little uncomfortable - oh well, at least I'll be asleep!

Aww don't fret Suzanne you have a paper johnny shirt to wear or day.   Consent is simple. Register as usual and go down to bariatric waiting area. Lize will take youinto the room and weigh you and give you a questionere to fill out. She will go over that test you toof at info day. Then you go to examining room to fill out questionere. Dr B. arrives and discusses your surgery and you sign the consent fforms.Then you are done. I had my surgery exactly 1 month after consent signing.Good luck. I am so happy for you. It did move realy fast

what's with the paper johnny shirt and the hose.  I had a normal johnny shirt and no hose.  what's that for????

Ahhh, good a regular johnny sounds good to me. What about my question about  undies with the band? Still naked as a jay bird?

I was gonna ask the same thing Patsy - a paper johnny shirt - I would be insulted- Maggie are you serious about the hot air...... why do they do that ??? LOL 

I was just happy to be wearing a jonny shirt that was too big on me lol- they had huge ones on hand and even though I brought new night gowns for while I was in the hospital never got into them til I was back at the hotel ..... the johnny shirts were so roomy and comfy and so were the housecoats..... I did buy gramma undies in 2 sizes bigger than I normally wore and your right Maggie they sure did come in handy!

Ok somone tell me please why paper and why the hot air...... enquiring minds want to know !!!!
