Halifax Info Session

Hi all. Beaverblue (aka Sugarbear) and I met today at the Hfx. Info Session. There were 50 participants, and they said we would be done within a year. I spoke to Ms. Lawlor after, and she confirmed (as much as anyone can confirm anything) that I would be called in May. Yay! Turns out she was my high school lab partner! Too funny.

So it appears that I will go the Halifax VSG route until I find a bump in the road. Then I always have Dr. B and team to rely on, as they are learning the VSG.

Sugarbear is a sweetheart. And funny! It was nice to put the face to a name. She knew who I was right away. Nice detective skills, Sugarbear.

Isn't it so much better when you can meet someone IRL that you already "know" or have a common interest.

So glad you took the opportunity to get a second opinion, do more research and attend the information meeting - education is key to success with any of the procedures - most important to find one that suits you and the life you can live.

Be sure to share what about the VSG makes it the wld for you.  No many are familiar with that surgery and it could help someone who is still in the researching phase.

Sure is nice to meet others who have something in common with you for sure. Your well on your way now Suzanne with a nice turn around of one year. I think most of us had to wait 2 yrs or more; one year is a blessing for sure.  :)  Congrats on your efforts to change your life.  :) 

I must have understood a previous posting you made.  I thought you were getting a procedure from Dr B.

You didn't misunderstand. I WAS in the process with Dr. B, supposed to sign my consent today. Last Monday I received a call from the Halifax clinic for the info session this past Tuesday. I went, and I have decided to ride the wave to the VSG in Halifax. If something goes awry then I can continue later with Dr. B.
