2nd fill 12 days ago still no restriction

 Going to see the gang at the georges dumont tomorrow to get irradiated again by my friends in the x-ray dept.   Should be glowing nicely when i leave there, gonna protect my gonads and  thyroid this time. Let you all know whats goin on tomorrow !! Gaining weight !!!! yippee 

I don't understand why you would be gaining weight....

 Guess with no restriction i'm able to eat too much, know im hungrier than i was before the 2nd fill.... thats for sure. Band is suppose to make you feel full sooner than normally you would feel full and by holding food longer in the upper portion of the stomach where the nerves are located that communicate with the brain . i think thats the way its suppose to work in theory.

Yup that is the way it is supposed to work.  I am wide open with no fill yet since surgery on Dec 2, 2008.  I refused a fill recently in favour of going on a cruise and not wanting to cope with possible swelling etc.  I will hopefully get a fill as soon as I get back.  In the meantime it is taking all the strength I can muster not to overdo it and not to gain.  I am still losing but it has slowed down considerably.  I should be exercising more but we have so much to do to get ready for our trip on Monday. 

Hang in there Stephen, surely they will figure out why you are not getting restriction.  Maybe there is a problem with your port, maybe it is leaking and so you are not getting the benefit of your last fill at all.  If so, I have read that it is an easy fix.  But dont quote me.

Whatever the reason,  try harder to resist the urge to over eat.  Maybe a few more smaller meals per day to keep from getting too hungry might help.

  Its funny , I always had morning restriction at least even before my first fill, it will be interesting to see whats up tomorrow.
