Savoie: Has anyone found anything out re: timeline?

Not that I'm trying to cause another stir of anxiety and frustration...but last week I called the hospital but because I was just coming home from work, I didn't have time to pursue anything before departments closed for the day.

Has anyone followed up with the hospital in Bathurst, and really poked around to get some sort of definitive answer?  I mean, they can't work any faster I'm sure, but any answer would be good.  I wonder if even Dr. Savoie knows for sure.  Some things would be out of his hands, too.

Who wants to be the P in the A and snoop around today?  I'd do it, but I'm at work, and the walls, floor, ceiling have ears....

Hi Anita,

I’m still waiting and getting pretty anxious I must admit. I’m not hoping to be done tomorrow, but to receive a definitive answer that he is opening his clinic or starting soon would be nice.

So far I have not received a call. I transfer all my calls from my home phone to my blackberry so I wouldn’t miss it. Each and every day I get more and more anxious. Trying not to be frustrated because that won’t lead me anywhere. Now not only am I getting anxious but I am so sick of people asking me: "Did you get your date yet?"

Over, over and over. It just adds to my own frustration.

I don’t want to call his secretary because she doesn’t have much information and I bet she is at the point where she does want give out a timeline because it just keeps us calling when that timeline goes by.

I asked my co-worker because she is friends with a Pre-op nurse at the hospital in Bathurst but she has been on vacation in Mexico so I’ll try to find out more information.

I wanted to call the hospital but I don’t know where to begin.

Monica - I started with front desk, and then put me through to someone else (who would have put me through to someone else, but things were closing down for the day).  I just feel better when I'm actively trying to find answers.  I might be home early on Thursday, so I could do some calling then.  Someone has to have SOME kind of idea.  I'd even be okay (well, "Okay") with "well, it looks like it's going to take at least 3 months to get this or that..."

But, maybe, when all is said and done, all we can do is just wait, and stay sane.

Hi Anita,

What time do they close? I would call today but I am at work like you and I can’t really be on the phone waiting for hours and hours. If they close later than 5pm I can call.

I am off this Friday *my birthday* so if you don’t get to it then, I’ll do it.

I found the following two numbers:

506-544-3000

or

1-888-695-9222

I am planning on calling and saying: I had a consult with Dr. S and I was expecting surgery in Dec, so I wondering whether my surgery is coming up, or I just wanted to make sure I was on the list?

Something like that!
