I was laid off work in January. My Record of Employment states "shortage of work" as the reason....
Come to find out that a MANAGER from another department at the company I worked for told some mutual acquaintance that I was FIRED from my job.
What if I had applied for a job with someone our mutual acquaintance knows?
Who the hell is he to think he knows anything about my situation? Isn't that supposed to be between me, my manager and HR???
Then again, he's screwing a woman in my old department so maybe he's scared I'd tell his wife what an absolute useless asshole he is. If it wasn't for the work screw, he wouldn't be working at all, although I'm sure she does most of the work.
I am so angry at the moment I could spit nails. I've already called the office and HR isn't there until tomorrow.
