Finally Bit the Bullet...
They want you to start walking as soon as you can. Get 30 mins a day at least. As far as a workout goes, it depends on what you are doing. I think they would suggest 4-6 weeks out. YOu have to protect your incisions and your band. I could be wrong. Anybody else???

I was told 6 weeks before much exercise. The walking had to start the day after surger and as many short walks as I could fit in...adding more time as I got strong every day. The walking is all about thethreat of DVT...and it is really important. Last year my husband, mother and father in law all had DVTs...and a 32 year old neighbor died of it, after a minor knee surgery...so walk walk walk!
oh...and I was about 4 weeks before I could drive. I mean I felt like it fine after a week or two...but the dr said all that turning the wheel and twising to look behind was a sure way to get adhesions.
