Maggie big day
I am sending healing thoughts and best wishes out into the universe for Maggie today. I am kind of misty thinking about her, knowing how I felt just a few weeks ago and how great I feel now.
Maggie you are probably already gone to the hospital but I am thinking good thoughts for you and holding your hand in spirit. I am so happy for you. Your big day is here finally. Get in touch as soon as you can.
Ann
Thank you Ann. And to everyone who sent good wishes on my other post, I thank you all too. It's 6:30 Thursday, Feb 12 and I am getting ready to walk out the door. I will come back and talk to you all on Saturday when I get home. I'll take all of your good wishes with me and hold them tight till I get home. (((HUGS))) Maggie.
I will pray that you have an easy, infection free experience. I so wish that I had asked for your real name because my sister is having surgery today too. (not WLS- she weighs less than 100 pounds!). I will be going down to the Dumont Friday night, if I am strong enough. Remember how the diet left you feeling? By the time you read this, Slim Fast will be a distant memory!

Oh Maggie ! the worst is over. the darn liquid pre op phase and the actual surgery. You are on the road to freedom. Just wait and see how great it is. Look at Mona Gray. WOW...she is rockin'. I've been done almost 4 months and haven't lost what she did in 3 weeks. WOW. That's amazing. Once you get home and settled, make sure to fill us in. We are all thinking about you and praying for a speedy recovery ! Giddy up !

Does Maggie have an angel ????
We need to start that up on our very busy board with all the surgeries upcoming.
For anyone who does not know what an angel does.....
basically the person has contact info about the patient and gets a thumbs up call or email from family and passes it along to the rest of us...... then you dont have to wait for the actual person to come home from hospital.....
Sometimes people want their angel to be post op and even the same surgery but its all up to who you would like to be it.
Its an honor to be someones angel and special friendships form during this time of waiting before and the post op period.

Hey Deb,
I had actually brought up the idea of "angels" at the support meeting last weekend as it seems like a common thing on the ON and DS forums that I frequent.
We were not really sure of the process as Charline mentioned that she had signed up to receive an angel when she entered her surgery date but had not been given one to date.
Perhaps we could organize a system ourselves for this forum - would anyone like to be in charge of listing the people who have a date and want an angel as well as the people willing to be an angel? Would be similar to the list Charline so nicely complied ... hint hint. That way we can help reassure them during the pre-surgery freak (although everyone does pitch in very well on this site) and keep everyone advised on how the actual surgery and recovery process is going when they are in the hospital.
Charline, I would be willing to be your angel!
