I am down 2 pounds plus the pound I gained on my last meal/ sweets!  I know better than to trust my scale BUT my scale always has had me heavier than I really am. I know that at least some of the weight loss is water because I was running to that bathroom last night,,,,,,,WOOOO HOOOO anyway!!
AND I forgot to tell you that I have stopped taking 2 of my three insulin shots and cut back on the third shot too.  Maybe I won't have to take them again.....I pray for that. I am a happy camper this morning!!

Wow, 2 pounds! That's fantastic!Whoo Hoo! You go girl. (Not just to the bathroom.)LOL

Off one of you insulin shots, so soon, that's amazing!  OMG, do you suppose that means you may be able to get off more. Are you type 1 or type 2? If you are type 2 you may be totally diabetes free post op. Even if you are type 1, you may be able to reduce your insulin needs substantially. That would be a blessing.

I am type 2 and for the past 10 days my sugar has been 4.7 to 5.3. I haven't  even taken my  diabetic medications for the past 10 days.

No one knows what type diabetic I am. I could even be both!  I am hoping I am type 2, so I can work my way off Insulin. Two shots are gone, at least for now. What happens when I start eating a full diet is anyone's guess.
My sugars have been running in the 7 zone. Dr B said as long as my sugars stay under 10. When I was on IV only last year, my sugars were stable at 7.6- 7.8 without any insulin. I think that fast acting insulin could even dangerous with the few calories I am getting.

Normal is 4.6 to 6.4. All summer when I was dieting and eating 1000 calories or less a day, my sugars were perfect. i didn't need to take any diabetic meds all summer.

Hopefully once you get banded, you can come off your diabetic meds too. That's the best possible outcome along with weight loss of course.

Less pills would be nice. I take 22 pills a day.
