Everyone gets a 14cc band
Just had my second fill , have a total of 8cc in a 14cc band , the first 3cc dont count toward your fills as that is basically a neutral level of fill.So I have 5 cc in my band working toward restriction with lots more room for fills. I was reading on lapbandtalk forum about one poor guy who has 15.2 cc in his 14cc band (something like 8 fills ,hope he lives close to the hospital )and is not losing any weight and has no restriction . I,m basically hungry all the time with even less restriction than i had before my 2nd fill if thats possible maybe some leaked out. I always had at least morning restriction but not anymore. Have a call into Lise to see if i can come back sooner than the traditional 2 month wait. Did find out from Dr.B that everyone gets the large size band, its the only one he uses. Down 38 pounds which is okay but not great. RNY or Duedenal Switch is the way to go if possible, this lapband thing is very frustrating !
Welcome back to the board Stephan G!!
I am plugging my ears?....eyes?...I don't want to hear any negatives about the band right now, because it is my only option and I have surgery on Feb 24. Besides, if you don't have restriction yet, you are still in Banster hell. When you get to restriction, then we will talk!!
Thirty-eight pounds is fantastic!!! Your band may have loosed from all the weight loss. Chin-up, things will improve.
I am sure it is frustrating having to diet like you don't have the band, but try to have a positive attitude (and fight like hell to get another fill soon).

I've read on the lapband forum that restriction can still happen in the next week. Sometimes it takes time to kick in. My first fill gave me restriction right away, but it's gone now. I need another fill, yet i still feel restriction from time to time.. Don't give up yet, see what happens in the days to follow.
Good work so far.
