The MediTrim Difference

Not all diet shakes are created equal!

Many diet shakes currently on the market are made almost exclusively from skim milk powder. Skim milk powder contains a large amount of sugar in the form of lactose. Not only is the lactose molecule difficult for the body to digest but the large bulk of sugar in many shakes will hinder weight loss efforts. In many cases you would be better off having a meal than the sugary shake! Other diet shakes, are often high in sugar and calories, which if consumed at every meal may make you put on weight because over the day you would exceed your daily calorie intake.

This is not the case with MediTrim.

MediTrim's exclusive low calorie, low GI, low carb and most importantly delicious tasting shake is perfectly balanced to be used at each meal if desired. So why do competitors use such high levels of milk powder you may ask? Because it's a lot cheaper!

Milk protein contains 80% casein, which can cause common allergic reactions. Because some people are allergic to casein, found in milk protein, we have chosen to use a premium whey blend in our shake which has far less allergenic potential. You'll notice in these comparison charts that whey protein is also much
lower in fat, sugar and carbohydrates, with a good dose of easily digested protein.

Helping you maintain lean muscle mass, control appetite and burn that fat!

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this diet work?

The MediTrim Program is specifically designed using the latest clinical research to determine the best protein, carbohydrate and fat ratio's to achieve fast, successful fat burning. Our bodies burn carbohydrate, then fat, then protein in order of preference. If we reduce the excess refined carbohydrates we consume and replace them with a lesser, healthier amount of good carbohydrates like vegetables our body will automatically switch over to burn the next available fuel source. Fat! With adequate protein to maintain a strong, healthy metabolism, we now on our way to fast, permanent weight loss!

Why is it different?

Many weight loss shakes on the market contain a lot of sugar. Our bodies love to burn sugar, so this means that if we constantly supply our bodies with sugar there will be no reason for it to switch into fat burning mode. These diets often focus purely on calorie restriction. Unfortunately this means we are often left hungry because our bodies are not being fed the correct balance of nutrients to promote fat burning for energy. Not only is this not a pleasant state to be in but our bodies are pretty smart. They can tell when we reduce our calorie intake and switch into starvation mode, slowing down the metabolism on conserve energy and prevent weight loss! On the MediTrim plan there is no need to go hungry, no slowing down of the metabolism, and optimal nutrient balance to promote fast fat loss!

How many flavour choices are there, and can I mix and match them?

(we can only get chocolate and vanilla shakes and chcolate and peanutbutter bars)

There are 15 delicious flavours to choose from including 4 soups and 11 sweet flavours. Yes you may mix and match these flavours as you wish. You may also add a combination of your favorite 'free' low GI vegetable to the soups to make a nice hearty casserole or stew, herbs and spices can also be added for that extra flavour kick! Crushed ice can also be added to the sweet shakes to make a delicious summer ****tail. If you prefer a creamier texture, add only 100ml of water to the sweet shakes and pop into the freezer for a creamy ice cream texture!

What can I mix the product with?

The sweet flavour shakes are to be mixed with 200ml water.1 However this is only a recommendation, you may choose how much water you add according to your taste. However MediTrim shakes  are not to be mixed with milk.

Will the product interfere with any medications I am currently taking?

Always check with your health care professional before embarking on any weight loss program. There are no interactions with the MediTrim program and medications however some medications are affected by changing your nutrient consumption and reducing your weight, so please ask our consultants for a Doctors Referral letter if you're concerned.

I have high blood pressure; can I be on the program?

Yes you can. The type of nutritional balance recommended in your MediTrim plans have actually been shown to assist in the management of blood pressure. However please consult your Doctor if you have any concerns.

Can Diabetics use the program?

Yes Diabetics may use the MediTrim Program. However if medication or insulin is involved please request a Doctors Approval letter. The main reason that the MediTrim Program needs to be monitored under these cir****tances is that by stabilizing the blood sugar through the diet there is often a need to reduce the insulin or medication being taken.

Hi,

I have completed three weeks of MediTrim in last November 07. Found it to be very successful. Lost almost 6 kilos in that time. Was extremely happy with the out come. Finally! I could tuck myself in.

I really needed to do something about loosing the weight as I’m in my mid forties, and I started to thicken up around the belly.

I all so had a college who was on the program, and she was using a blender to mix the shakes. So I thought I give it a try with the Bar Mix, I let it go for a good 50 seconds. The shake came out very fluffy, taste light a choc malted milk shake. Very pleasant in taste. I tried the Cafe Latte as well but stuck to Choc Choc Banana as flavors. I was in luck as they went down with no bad taste or after taste.

This has been the most intelligent program or diet I have ever tried.
I have just started drink them again, just for the supplements, one a day, and incorporate the foods on the program from Monday to Friday, and pretty much eat what I want on the weekend.

For anyone out there that’s quite frustrated with loosing weight. This program is very good. These don’t taste bad at all.

Remember just stick to the program, and success will follow...

Hi Charline,

This is great info, thanks for sharing.  Makes me wish I could have had the Medi Trim and not the Optifast.
