I would talk to Dr B about a stool softener for post-op or you may never go again!! (You know I used to think that I would never use this smiley!)

Keep the ducolax handy you may need it.  I wish I had taken some it might have helped me avoid the hellish issues I ended up having.  I am glad you have seen some results.  You might need to rely on the Ducolax a time or 2 more but don't get dependant on it.  My mother is dependant on a stool softener/laxative and let me tell you its not pretty.

I think these are very valid posts. These are things we wll all face per or post surgery and it is great to know how others coped with it.

Are you allowed to take ducolax after RNY surgery? Is there a time frame where you can take meds?
