I signed for RNY surgery yesterday with Dr. B.!! :)

I originally wanted the band. My problem was that Dr B didn't give me a choice or even consider RNY, because of my age (and BMI, but I didn't know that).  I was left wondering if he approved the band because of my age, or because it is the best choice for me. Even though the band was changed my mind about WLS 5 years ago, I have become open to other options. When I asked him if the band was best for me, the age thing aside, he gave me good reasons for going with the band.

 Charline, I asked this question today at the meeting - but then I guess I got side tracked?  When I go for the info session I am assuming I go to the same place as for the initial meeting - is that correct?

Sorry Charline, I misunderstood. I thought you had wanted RNY and Dr.B. wanted to do the band instead. Sorry. I do get things mixed up ever so often. Had an altzimers moment.  It happens.

Suzanne, yes. First you need to register and then you go back to the same area where you waited to see Dr. B. The nurse will come and get you and whoever else is there for the info session and take you to a room back in the registration area.  It really is a great day full of info and ibeas.
