Charline, where are you
I just got in the door. Thanks for being worried about me. The caring here is just fantastic.
Well, girls hang on to your hats....I have lost a total 18.3 pounds! I am trashing my scales. According to my scales I would have been lucky to be down any weight at all. I am down an additional 5 pounds. I am thrilled. I am going to post this so you girls can stop worrying and I do another post to tell you the rest.

Charline!!!! WOW!!!! I think you need a new set of scales. My hubby got me a nice set at Shoppers. They weigh in .2 increments and although I have a love/hate relationship with my scales I do love these ones. And being new they are accurate. But I am so happy for you. You dun good girl.
Glad you got home safe and sound. Here you go on the last leg or the approach to better health and a longer life.
Grinning ear to ear for you

My scales are only a few months old and I thought they were accurate because they are consistent (with themselves). But apparently you have to drop like 10 pounds before they will grant you the privilege of weighing less! For the second time, I had intended to bring them to Moncton to compare with their scale but they sat at the front door again.
By the way the roads and visibility were terrible. Fortunately, there was very little traffic on our side of the highway.
First I met with Caroline and Lise for weight, medication review, & BP. Then Lisa and I changed offices to Rinnette's office. I didn't meet with Rinnette because she had an outside commitment. I will meet with her in 2 weeks. Lise then went over my medication and told what to take the day before and the day of surgery. She also told me to stop all vitamins immediately.
She went over the band rules with me, and how to drink. That was the first time I heard that we have to swallow in a different way. For those of you that don't know, you take a normal mouthful of water, exhale, then swallow the water a bit at a time- like 6 small swallows. That will take some getting used to. She gave me a bunch of information for the day of surgery, when to go to the ER, when to call the nurse, & post op exercises.
One thing that was news to me was that the standard of care for post op bariatric patients is to exercise 60 minutes per day. She said that even though the books they give out says 30 minutes, the latest standard of care says 60 minutes. she said that you can break that up into small blocks of time. I have done this before, in fact I used to walk 2 hours everyday and more on weekends. I did it by walking before going to work (15 minutes), both coffee breaks (30 total), walking at lunch (45 minutes), and after supper (30 minutes). It sounds like a lot when you say 2 hours a day, but it is possible to find the time.
I can confirm that the 2 week diet is Medi Trim. Lise said she finds that it tastes good. She said that she tasted Opti fast once and had a hard time to swallow the one mouthful because it tasted so bad. The Medi Trim shakes are available in vanilla and chocolate. (The vanilla can be made into different flavors by adding sugar free syrups.) There are also 2 flavors of bars- chocolate and peanut crunch. You have 4 a day in what ever combination you want. You purchase 8 boxes for the 2 week diet.
Then I meet with the respiratory technologist, had blood taken, an ECG done, and a chest x-ray. That is about it.
